Information on the processing of personal data

On the basis of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), please be advised that:

  1. The administrator of your personal data is the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Pozna? with its registered office at ul. Noskowskiego 12/14, 61-704 Pozna? (hereinafter referred to as the Institute).
  2. The administrator has appointed a Data Protection Officer who you can contact in all matters regarding your personal data via traditional mail by writing to the following address: Data Protection Inspector, ul. Z. Noskowskiego 12/14, 61-704 Pozna? or by sending an e-mail to dpo@ibch.poznan.pl.
  3. The “EOSC-Synergy Learn” platform will process your personal data such as:
    • Name and surname, e-mail address in order to create an account and authenticate you in other services integrated with the “EOSC-Synergy Learn” platform;
    • IP number – the internet address of the device you are connecting to the “EOSC-Synergy Learn” platform, Access Time Date, external IdP ID (persistent, non-reassigned, privacy-preserving identifier for a user, only shared between an external identity provider and the service provider), Logs data – for platform maintenance and for security reasons.
  4. Your personal data will be processed for the purpose of providing an online service on the basis of your consent (art.6 par.1 lit.a GDPR).
  5. In connection with the provision of the service, your data may be disclosed to external entities such as public authorities or third parties (who will make a request based on a valid legal basis).
  6. The period of storage of your personal data by the Institute depends on the legal basis constituting the condition for processing. As a rule, we will process your data:
    • until we finish providing the service, in particular until the account is deleted;
    • until the consent is withdrawn (if the basis for the processing of your personal data was your consent and this is the basis for data processing).
    • In the absence of a prerequisite for data processing, the data will be anonymized or deleted.
  7. In connection with the processing of your data, you have the following rights:
    • the right to information about the processing of personal data – you may request the transfer of information about the processing of your data (about the purposes, legal grounds, scope of data possession, entities to which it is disclosed and the planned date of deletion of your data);
    • right to rectification – you may request that your personal data be corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete;
    • the right to delete data – you may request the deletion of your data when:
      • your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we collected it,
      • consent to processing has been withdrawn and this was the only basis for processing,
      • an objection to data processing has been raised,
      • your data will be processed unlawfully,
    • right to restriction of processing – you may request the restriction of the processing of your data when:
      • your data is incorrect (then we will limit the processing of your data for the period that we will need to verify their correctness),
      • the consent for processing was withdrawn and this was the only basis for processing,
      • it has been found that we are processing your data unlawfully, but you consider us not to delete it,
      • Your data is no longer needed, but you may need it to defend or pursue claims,
      • You will object to data processing
    • the right to withdraw consent – you have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of your data at any time, which will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before withdrawal of consent.
    • the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – if you feel that a violation has been committed, you can lodge a complaint with the President of the Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw)
  8. Providing the data specified in the registration form as mandatory is necessary for us to create and operate your account. If you do not provide it, we will not be able to provide a service for you.

The Administrator reserves the right to introduce modifications to the Privacy Policy due to changes in the scope of provided services as well as in the ways, purposes or legal basis of personal data processing.
